Chinmoy Roy is the Senior Legal Officer at Antrix Corporation Limited, the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under the Department of Space, Government of India. In his current role, he is responsible for overseeing a broad spectrum of legal matters, including Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), commercial laws, and space laws, ensuring that Antrix Corporation operates smoothly in these highly specialized areas.

He is also deeply involved in trans-national litigation, currently leading legal proceedings across more than eight countries. These proceedings relate to a multi-billion-dollar arbitration award stemming from one of the largest disputes ever encountered in the space industry.

In addition to his professional role, he is actively engaged in academic research, particularly in the evolving landscape of IPR in outer space. His research, including on the cybersecurity of satellites, has been widely recognized and presented at prominent international space law conferences, such as the International Astronautical Congress.
