David Sanker is the Founder and CEO of SankerIP, a mathematician, software engineer, and patent attorney. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Berkeley and later returned to the university 15 years later to pursue his law degree after careers in academia and software development.

As a Patent Attorney at Morgan Lewis, he was a patent litigator for four years and a patent practitioner for over 13 years. In his role as a patent practitioner, he collaborates with clients, inventors, the U.S. Patent Office, and associates worldwide to build strong IP protection. His work spans key technology areas such as AI, software, cybersecurity, semiconductor devices, database architecture, data visualization, medical devices, artificial reality & virtual reality, and identity verification.

In February 2024, he launched his own patent firm, SankerIP, offering high-quality work at competitive rates without the conflicts and high billing rates of large law firms. He continues to speak and write about AI and patents, contributing chapters to four recent books.
