Admitted to the Bar in 1984 and a registered patent agent, Hemant has overseen over 3,500 IP litigations across India, addressing issues such as claim construction, inventive step, trademark infringement, and parallel imports. His expertise spans patents, trademarks, designs, copyrights, trade secrets, and more. Representing Fortune 100 and 500 companies, he serves diverse industries including pharmaceuticals, FMCG, fashion, and technology. His contributions to IP jurisprudence are significant, including active participation in amicus briefs and leadership roles in international IP associations. Notably, he represented INTA in its inaugural amicus brief before the Supreme Court of India on parallel import matters, underscoring his influential role in shaping global IP law. He currently serves as the President of the AIPPI India Group and is a former board of directors of the International Trademark Association (INTA).
