Raka Roy  is a partner at Galadari Advocates & Legal Consultants, where she heads the IP and Data Protection practice. She brings a wealth of experience in high profile projects and transactions in IP Auditing, advisory roles for any IP or commercial IP issues (advertisement issues, consumer protection laws, review of product warranties, social media terms, product guidelines, privacy issues, data protection etc.), IP prosecution, brand clearance and opposition, anti-counterfeiting and all the related contentious issues.

Her greatest strength is her ability to manage clients coming from diverse backgrounds and industries, including fashion, FMCG, real estate, retail, automotive, by advising on practical steps offering logical conclusions to on-going IP disputes and meeting client’s expectations. Raka is well respected by her clients for being prompt, efficient and having a ‘personal touch’, in addition to the pragmatic approach she applies to their matters.

Before joining Galadari, she trained and worked with an international law firm in Dubai. She has over 16 years of experience, including 13 years in the Middle East region. she is a recognized leader in the market, a member of the INTA Leadership Program, and a frequent speaker at international events. She is a registered patent agent with the Indian Patent Office and holds a bachelor's degree in Commerce. Additionally, she has completed specialized courses in Patents, Copyright, and E-commerce from the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.

Currently, she serves as a committee member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) for Unfair Competition, representing the Middle East and Africa.
