Salman Waris is the Partner and Head of the TMT & IP Practice at TechLegis Advocates & Solicitors, a leading specialist law firm in technology, media, telecom (TMT), and data privacy. He regularly advises on legal and regulatory issues concerning intellectual property, technology, telecom, data protection/privacy law, outsourcing, mergers & acquisitions, and joint ventures across India and the broader AMEA region.

He is also the founder of TechLegis LLC, a boutique consulting firm specializing in data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity advisory, assisting clients across the AMEA region. He has provided counsel to government bodies such as the Department of Electronics & IT and the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.

Additionally, Salman serves as an advisor to the UAE-based venture fund DeepMinds, focusing on tech transfers and localization in the MENA region, and mentors’ startups through the Microsoft MENA Startups Mentorship & Ambassador program. He is the "Regtech" Co-Chair at the Big Innovation Centre, a UK-based network for AI and blockchain innovation.
