Hon’ble Justice Yashwant Varma is a Judge at the Delhi High Court. Born on 6 January 1969 in Allahabad, he pursued a B.Com (Honours) degree from Hansraj College, Delhi University, and earned his LLB degree from Rewa University, Madhya Pradesh. He was enrolled as an Advocate on 8 August 1992 and practiced at the Allahabad High Court, handling a wide range of matters, including constitutional, labour, industrial, corporate, taxation, and allied laws.
Justice Varma served as the Special Counsel for the Allahabad High Court from 2006 until his elevation and held the position of Chief Standing Counsel for the State of Uttar Pradesh from 2012 until August 2013. In recognition of his legal acumen, he was designated as a Senior Advocate by the Court in 2013.
He was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Allahabad High Court on 13 October 2014 and took oath as a Permanent Judge on 1 February 2016. On 11 October 2021, he was appointed as a Judge of the Delhi High Court.
